Israel takes new power over West Bank sites
Israel's security cabinet has approved significant legal changes to the power structures established by the Oslo Accords thirty years ago. These measures allow Israeli authorities to manage municipal duties and take charge of heritage locations and holy sites. Hebron’s acting mayor Asma al-Sharabati stated that Palestinian officials are now banned from making urban planning choices. She described this policy shift as the end of negotiations between the sides.
