NGOs challenge UK-France 'one in, one out' migrant treaty in court

Fifteen civil society groups in France and the UK filed suit demanding suspension of the “one in, one out” asylum agreement, arguing it breaches human rights and was implemented without adequate legal oversight. Under the treaty, every migrant arriving illegally in the UK via France may be sent back, while the UK accepts others vetted in France. Critics contend it leaves vulnerable individuals with no remedy and bypasses parliament.
