UK military personnel have inadvertently revealed locations inside high-security bases by sharing GPS-tracked workouts on the Strava app. Data from hundreds of users showed activity within restricted areas, including nuclear facilities, raising fears adversaries could exploit the information. A lawmaker called the lapse “unbelievable,” highlighting security risks. The Ministry of Defence downplayed the threat but said guidance on app usage is under review as concerns grow over digital exposure of sensitive operations.
