Germany leads Curacao 3-1 at World Cup half

Germany, the four-time world champions, are up 3-1 at half-time in their World Cup opener against tournament debutants Curacao. Felix Nmecha scored early, but Curacao's Livano Comenencia equalised before Nico Schlotterbeck and Kai Havertz put Germany ahead in Houston, Texas. Havertz scored a penalty just before half-time, securing Germany's two-goal advantage.
