Youth homelessness up 6% as jobs scarce

More young people are ending up homeless or in unstable housing because they can't find work, charities warn. Almost 124,000 young people were homeless or at risk in the UK during 2024-25, a 6% rise from the year before. This is the third year in a row numbers have risen, and the North West saw a rise of over a third.
