Government restricts legal care plans to complex needs by 2035
Officials have released reforms for England’s special educational needs system, introducing "Individual Support Plans" for students. Under these proposals, legal Education, Health and Care Plans will be limited to children with the most complex requirements. Authorities intend to start reassessing current pupils in autumn 2029 to see if they remain eligible. Schools must create the new flexible documents to outline day-to-day assistance.
