Ireland and UK Sign New Defence Agreement
Critical subsea infrastructure shared by Ireland and the UK will receive increased protection through a new defence agreement. Ireland’s Defence Minister Helen McEntee and UK Defence Secretary John Healey announced this Memorandum of Understanding at Friday's UK-Ireland Summit in Co Cork. The agreement provides for co-operation on maritime defence, cyber security, joint procurement, and information sharing.
