Pub hosts ex-Kasabian singer despite domestic abuse backlash

A South London pub is hosting former Kasabian singer Tom Meighan, causing upset among locals because of his past domestic assault conviction. Putney MP Fleur Anderson asked the pub's owners, Young's, to cancel the sold-out gig happening on June 26, but they refused. Convicted in July 2020, Meighan was issued an 18-month community sentence and tasked with 200 hours of voluntary labor.
