Why 50% of UK holidaymakers are now waking at dawn

New research by travel search engine KAYAK, based on a survey that included UK consumers, finds British holidaymakers are increasingly building trips around rare natural events such as solar eclipses, the Northern Lights and wildlife spectacles. Half of respondents said they are now more likely to rise earlier on holiday than in previous years. Nearly half — 47% — said the main reason for heading out at dawn or after dark was to witness a natural phenomenon.
