Kash Patel sues The Atlantic for $250 million

Allegations of heavy drinking and missed work by FBI Director Kash Patel are now central to a large legal dispute. Mr Patel started a $250 million defamation case against The Atlantic, claiming the magazine printed untrue and damaging reports about his time in office. The magazine, which put out the story on 20 April 2026, states its journalism comes from talks with over two dozen individuals and it will strongly fight back.
