For millions of voters, being on the electoral register is vital to cast ballots in the May 7 local and parliamentary elections. The final time to register for these contests is 23:59 BST tonight, Monday 20 April, which can be done digitally or using a paper form. Online registration needs a National Insurance number and address; 16-year-olds can register in Scotland and Wales.
