Russian Warship Escorts Sanctioned Tankers Past Britain

Russia's "shadow fleet" tankers, which fund the war in Ukraine, continue sailing through the English Channel despite UK threats. Putin openly defied Sir Keir Starmer's pledge to seize sanctioned vessels by sending a warship to escort two such ships through the strait. Britain has sanctioned around 544 of these ageing tankers but is yet to seize a single one.
