19-year-old officer dies after crash on duty
A 19-year-old Northumbria police officer, PC Jess Turnbull, has tragically died after being hit by a car while on duty. Late Monday, she was in an accident with a black Mercedes CLC on Cramlington's A189 route, having joined the police department the prior September. Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine said PC Turnbull, who died on Wednesday, made the 'ultimate sacrifice'.
