Game of Thrones play opens in Stratford this summer

The Royal Shakespeare Company will premiere a production titled The Mad King in Stratford-upon-Avon. Taking place a decade prior to the novels, this prequel relies on fresh writing from creator George RR Martin. Duncan Macmillan adapted the script for the stage, while Dominic Cooke will direct the performance in partnership with HBO. Tickets for the summer shows become available to the public in April.
