Taylor Swift beats Florida poet's plagiarism lawsuit over song lyrics

A US federal judge rejected a lawsuit that alleged Taylor Swift had copied phrases from poems written by a Florida woman. The judge found the poet, Kimberly Marasco, failed to prove her poems were protected or that Swift had seen them. Marasco, who represented herself, said she disagrees with the decision and will appeal.
