Mandelson files reveal Starmer's team 'lacks verve'
New documents about Peter Mandelson's US ambassador role are out, revealing embarrassing details for Keir Starmer's government and No 10. The Cabinet Office published over a thousand pages in three volumes, including Mandelson's private messages, after MPs demanded their release. Mandelson declined to comply with requests for his phone, and criticised No 10 as "beleaguered and bereft".
