Tube drivers might not strike next week
Londoners may avoid significant travel disruption next week, as hopes grow that planned tube strikes could be averted. The RMT union, representing almost half of the capital's tube drivers, has sought talks with Transport for London officials. They aim to prevent two 24-hour stoppages scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday over a new four-day work schedule.
