MWC 2026 Opens in Barcelona Next Week Marking 20-Year Anniversary
Mobile World Congress 2026 opens on 2 March at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, marking the event's 20th anniversary in the city. Over 109,000 attendees from 250 countries are expected, alongside 2,900 exhibitors and 930 startups, with the theme "The IQ Era" centring AI, 6G, and next-generation connectivity. Qualcomm will showcase live 6G technology demonstrations, while MediaTek holds its AI for Life keynote on 4 March. Xiaomi will globally launch the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra in Barcelona on 28 February, ahead of the main show.
