FTSE 100 drops 0.6% as AstraZeneca falls 9.2%.

Investors faced weaker share prices as worries about the Middle East and a sharp drop in a major drug company weighed on the market. Britain's FTSE 100 lost 0.6% on Thursday, while the FTSE 250 added 0.1%. AstraZeneca dropped 9.2% after its late-stage Wainua trial didn't reach its main goal for reducing cardiovascular deaths and recurring heart problems.
