Tesco cuts 180 head office jobs but creates 250 new roles
Tesco has announced plans to cut 180 roles at its Welwyn Garden City head office in Hertfordshire, while simultaneously creating around 250 new positions at the same site. The UK's biggest supermarket said the changes will come as difficult news for affected staff. Tesco has entered consultation with trade union Usdaw over the proposals. The company expects to make a profit of between £2.9 billion and £3.1 billion for its latest financial year.
