Two New UK Rules Help Dual British Citizens Travel
Many dual British citizens will face new, stricter UK entry requirements due to updated travel document guidelines. While some temporary concessions exist, the overall approach necessitates specific documentation. The UK government revised these rules following the Electronic Travel Authorisation scheme's full enforcement on 25 February 2026. People with EU Settlement Scheme rights can use valid non-British passports, and some may rely on an expired British passport, if issued after 1989, plus another valid passport.
