Iran protests led to nearly 6000 deaths report
Verified videos from Iran, filmed around January 8 and 9, show bodies piled in a Tehran hospital and snipers on rooftops amid a crackdown on protests. The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reports nearly 6,000 deaths, including 5,633 protesters, since late December. Iran Human Rights (IHR), based in Norway, warns the final death toll could exceed 25,000. One video shows at least 31 bodies in Tehranpars hospital. The protests followed calls from Reza Pahlavi.
