Sunderland draw with Everton move up to fourth
Sunderland moved into fourth place in the Premier League after drawing 1-1 with Everton at the Stadium of Light. Everton took the lead through Iliman Ndiaye's brilliant solo effort after 15 minutes, but captain Granit Xhaka equalized early in the second half with a deflected strike. The result continued Sunderland's impressive return to the top flight, leaving them level on points with Liverpool and Bournemouth, while Everton remained without a win in three games.
