North Korea tests carbon fibre engine for US-reaching ICBMs.
Missile advances could increase threat range and strike power against distant targets. South Korean lawmakers said North Korea tested a solid-fuel engine in March designed for intercontinental missiles built with carbon fibre to carry heavier or multiple warheads. The new engine is believed to have greater thrust than a 2024 version already assessed as able to reach the US mainland.
