Cypriot President says Iranian drone hit RAF base
A Shahed-style Iranian drone struck the UK’s RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus late Sunday night, according to officials. Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides said the unmanned aircraft hit the facility around midnight local time. Authorities reported no casualties, and damage to the base was described as limited. As a precaution, families of military personnel are being temporarily relocated, while some non-essential staff are also being moved for a short period.
