Supermarkets recall fruit over salmonella fears
Major UK supermarkets have pulled fruit products from shelves due to possible salmonella contamination, which can cause serious illness. The Food Standards Agency, the UK's food safety watchdog, issued the recall on Tuesday after salmonella was found in fruit from supplier PrepWorld. Affected items, including fruit pots and snack packs from six major shops, have use-by dates of 23 or 24 June.
