Edinburgh and Glasgow trains delayed by bridge strike

Disruptions were reported for train passengers on the Edinburgh to Glasgow route due to a bridge strike. Due to a lorry striking the Balgreen Road bridge, Network Rail paused trains for an inspection at 16:50 on Wednesday. Engineers assured the safety of the bridge, ScotRail stated, but advised that service modifications and cancellations would persist as trains needed repositioning.
