Why UK's new online plan sent VPN searches soaring 165%
More people may try to get around new online limits, with interest in tools that hide internet locations rising sharply after details emerged. On Monday, the government confirmed plans to stop under-16s using social media services and add broader limits affecting gaming platforms and other online features. Data from IT-AMG showed Google searches for VPNs climbed 165 per cent overnight before the announcement was formally confirmed.
