US launches new Iran airstrikes, Tehran hits three Gulf states
Early on Thursday, the United States conducted fresh airstrikes against Iran, prompting Tehran to direct its attacks towards Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The crossfire again threatened an interim deal that was intended to help end the war in the Persian Gulf. On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump declared the peace agreement with Iran to be "over", following recent Iranian attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
