Britain could get fast track back into EU
Britain's potential return to the European Union could happen much faster than many expected, dispelling suggestions of a long wait. European Union sources confirmed the UK's re-accession might be fast-tracked due to its significant prior alignment with the bloc. Sandro Gozi, an EU official, called a UK request to rejoin a "major victory for the European project".
