Ovo pays £10m for not watching vulnerable customers
Ovo Energy has to pay over £10 million for not properly supporting its most vulnerable prepayment meter customers. Energy watchdog Ofgem found the company's inadequate monitoring meant they breached rules, leaving these customers vulnerable. This includes £7 million for Ofgem's redress fund and £3.4 million in credit and debt relief for some customers.
