Sex Offender Recaptured After Being Wrongly Released From HMP Chelmsford

A convicted sex offender, Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, has been arrested after being mistakenly released from HMP Chelmsford. The 41-year-old had been sentenced to 12 months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman and a 14-year-old girl in Epping, Essex. He was due to be deported but was released in error. Police confirmed that Kebatu has now been located and is back in custody.
