NHS nurses report big rise in racist abuse
Nurses across the UK are experiencing a catastrophic rise in racist abuse, with thousands of incidents reported. Data collected by the RCN revealed 6,812 occurrences in 2025, representing a considerable increase from the 3,652 events documented in 2022. Consequently, an instance of racial discrimination was logged approximately every 77 minutes, alongside a 70% surge in calls to the advice line.
