BrewDog Co-Founder Watt Pledges £10m in Rescue Bid for Struggling Brewer
BrewDog co-founder James Watt is preparing to inject £10 million of his own money into a rescue bid to take back or save the loss-making craft brewer he helped found in 2007. Watt, who stepped down as CEO in 2024, is assembling financial backing from external investors as advisers invite second-round offers. The move comes amid ongoing sales talks and financial challenges for the company and its 220,000 “Equity for Punks” retail shareholders.
