England aims for 60% of kids to walk or cycle to school by 2035, a big jump from today's 47%. The Department for Transport announced the goal, backed by £4.5bn to build 5,000 new routes and 10,000 safer crossings by 2030. They will also spend £135m on training children to walk and cycle safely, creating healthier communities.
