6,000 Children Get Obesity Treatment in England

Thousands of children are receiving care for extreme weight issues at specialist NHS clinics across England. NHS data reveals 6,497 young people have received treatment since the first centre began in 2021. Among them were 423 four-year-olds, all extremely overweight, with 17% showing high blood pressure and 6% presenting with type 2 diabetes.
