German Galushchenko detained on train leaving Ukraine
Detectives apprehended German Galushchenko on a train as he attempted to cross the state border on Sunday. The former official is implicated in a massive $100m embezzlement operation involving nuclear operator Energoatom. Prosecutors allege he collected contract kickbacks worth up to 15 per cent. He is now being moved to Kyiv for interrogation following the lengthy Operation Midas investigation.
