UAE cuts UK student visas 55% over radicalisation.

The United Arab Emirates has restricted government funding for its citizens studying at UK universities due to concerns about Islamist radicalisation on British campuses. The UAE excluded British institutions from its approved scholarship list in June, citing fears about Muslim Brotherhood influence. Emirati student visas to Britain have dropped 55 percent since 2022, falling to just 213 in 2025. The move reflects deepening tensions between the UAE and UK over London's refusal to ban the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation.
