Far-right Britain First march through Manchester draws counterprotesters
Hundreds of Britain First supporters marched through Manchester city centre on 21 February, chanting anti-immigration slogans and calling for deportations. The group was met by a larger crowd of anti-fascist counterprotesters. Police maintained a heavy presence throughout the demonstration. Chants targeted migrants and were also directed at Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The march was one of several far-right demonstrations held across the UK in recent weeks.
