UK weather impact from El Niño is weak
Although a strong El Niño has been formally declared, bringing extreme global weather, its influence on the UK is expected to be much weaker. The US weather agency, NOAA, formally declared it, but as we're thousands of miles away, Atlantic patterns easily override its influence. Studies suggest it can increase the chance of a milder UK winter, but its overall effect is not reliable.
