500-mile rain band hits Britain Monday

Large areas of Britain are forecast to have frequent periods of rainfall and extended stretches of wet weather during the upcoming week. Forecasts indicate a 500-mile wide band of rain will hit the UK from Monday, June 1, bringing heavy showers beginning around 10am BST.
