UK job survey replies fell 19% due to data error
People using employment figures may see less reliable results in coming reports. Britain's statistics office said on Friday that mistakes during data gathering in May and early June reduced participation in its main unemployment and labour market survey, affecting upcoming releases. James Benford said responses fell by 19%, with lower participation recorded from May 3 to June 10 and some effects lasting until June 17.
