British Army gets £2 billion AI training system for modern warfare
The Ministry of Defence has signed a new £2 billion contract for an AI-based training system to prepare soldiers for rapidly evolving battlefields. The 15-year deal with Omnia Training, a Raytheon UK-led consortium, will train up to 60,000 soldiers annually using virtual environments. The contract also provides for approximately 400 jobs across the UK, encompassing 270 new skilled positions and 100 apprenticeships.
