US Navy aircraft suffer separate crashes in South China Sea within 30 minutes
A U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet and an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, both operating from the USS Nimitz, crashed separately in the South China Sea on October 26, 2025. All five crew members were safely recovered, with no fatalities or serious injuries reported. The incidents occurred about 30 minutes apart during routine operations, and investigations are underway.
