Armenia votes as Russia pushes back on EU plans
Armenians are voting in an election that could decide if their country keeps moving closer to the West or returns to its traditional ally, Russia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants re-election on a promise of European integration, but Russia is piling on economic pressure. Russia has banned Armenian cognac and rose imports, having bought 90% of Armenia's 2025 rose crop.
