Iraqi man gets jail for UK border breach.

At Canterbury Crown Court, Rebwar Hamad, aged 48, received a prison term. The Iraqi national will serve two years and three months for unlawful entry into the UK. Hamad arrived in Dover on September 19th. Hamad arrived with other migrants. He paid 1,200 euros for the crossing after the UK rejected his visa application. He was previously extradited to Italy in 2020. Hamad had indefinite leave to remain after arriving in 2001, before a terrorism conviction.
