Tennis Player's Early Celebration Leads to Australian Open Loss

Sebastian Ofner's premature celebration cost him a spot in the Australian Open. The Austrian tennis player mistakenly thought he had won his qualifying match against Nishesh Basavareddy when he reached 7-1 in the final set tie-break. Forgetting the tie-break was to 10 points, Ofner celebrated, allowing Basavareddy to capitalize and win 13-11. Basavareddy then mocked Ofner with a choke gesture. He will now face George Loffhagen for a spot in the main draw.
