Saffron Cole-Nottage drowned as crews lacked gear

A woman drowned while emergency crews reportedly waited because they lacked protective clothing, an inquest has heard. Saffron Cole-Nottage, 32, was trapped head-first in rocks on a Lowestoft beach in February last year, as the tide submerged her. Her initial 999 call was categorised incorrectly, leading to a "muddled response" and delayed arrival.
