Brompton sells company shares to Decathlon, Chinese firm.
Brompton, the British manufacturer of folding bicycles, has divested shares to both the French retailer Decathlon and the Chinese investment firm BA Capital. Decathlon bought 10% and BA Capital 5% in a deal worth about £18 million, allowing long-term investors and staff to get cash from share sales. Brompton bikes will also appear in dedicated "Brompton corners" in some Decathlon stores for the first time.
