Big Tech to spend $725bn on AI infrastructure this year
The four biggest US tech companies just confirmed the largest corporate infrastructure spend in history. Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon will collectively pour up to $725 billion into AI data centres in 2026, a 77% increase on last year's record $410 billion, according to Bloomberg analysis of the Q1 earnings cycle. Google CFO Anat Ashkenazi said 2027 capex will rise significantly higher still.
